As my business name suggests, when it comes to dessert, I find a lot of my inspiration in nature, in plants, leaves, and shapes. I can spend hours researching contemporary cake artists, pastry chefs, and food photographers. Beautifully designed desserts bring me joy, and my hope is to spark joy in people with my desserts too.
For me a naked cake is a blank canvas that is waiting to be brought to life for people to enjoy. It brings me immense joy to explore, and apply new decorating techniques.
My ethos can be best described by a quote that I heard from my very first raw dessert instructor, Carolina Chinea:
